I have written a new work for the incredible violinist Michael Trainor for the final installment of his ‘Bach Reimagined’ project. Solas Imbolc World Premiere: 1st February

The Contemporary Music Centre, Ireland and the Embassy of Ireland, Hungary partner to present an online St Brigid’s Day celebration with CMC Salon hosted by Evonne Ferguson and spotlight on women in music hosted by CMC’s Linda O’Shea Farren on Monday 1 February 2021, at 7.00pm GMT (Ireland) / 8.00pm CET (Hungary). Working with Kirkos Ensemble: CMC’s Ensemble in Residence

Over the last number of months I have been working in collaboration with the Kirkos Ensemble to create a new work for French Horn and Baritone. For Culture Night 2020, CMC have presented an evening of online features including the workshopping of my new work ‘Meditation’. Tickets now available for the World Premiere of my Folk Suite ‘The Beating Heart of Ulster’

Fermanagh & Omagh District Council in partnership with Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann’s regional centre Dún Uladh and the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association NI (RSPBA NI), have commissioned a unique piece of music for a ‘two traditions’ orchestra. The commission, from award-winning composer Áine Mallon, is entitled The Beating Heart of Ulster and celebrates the rich musical heritage from both Irish and Ulster Scots traditions as well as the local landscape. This suite will be performed in venues across Northern Ireland in November 2019.
