It was such a treat to work with conductor Patrick Barrett and the Irish Youth Training Choir on my new commission ‘Mother Moon’ on their Easter Course! It was really incredible to hear the piece come to life. Huge thanks to The Contemporary Music Centre and Sing Ireland for commissioning this new work for these wonderful young singers! My piece Solas Imbolc has been included in this incredible international concert series in celebration of 100th anniversary of the publication of Ulysses by James Joyce. It will be performed by the incredible Hungarian guitarist Katalin Koltai in the MAC, Belfast on Friday 4th February, pictured above in rehearsal! I have written a new work for the incredible violinist Michael Trainor for the final installment of his ‘Bach Reimagined’ project. The Contemporary Music Centre, Ireland and the Embassy of Ireland, Hungary partner to present an online St Brigid’s Day celebration with CMC Salon hosted by Evonne Ferguson and spotlight on women in music hosted by CMC’s Linda O’Shea Farren on Monday 1 February 2021, at 7.00pm GMT (Ireland) / 8.00pm CET (Hungary).
